A remarkable musical journey has been commemorated with a blue plaque at Liverpool ONE. The plaque marks the spot where self-taught pianist Brad Kella first performed over a decade ago. Kella, who grew up in Bootle, began his public performances busking at the shopping center to support himself and his daughters.
His talent was brought to wider attention when producers of the Channel 4 show 'The Piano' discovered a video of him playing at Liverpool ONE. Kella went on to win the second series of the popular talent competition. The unveiling of the blue plaque coincided with the start of Liverpool ONE's annual Tickle the Ivories festival.
