Photographer's Innovative Underside Shots Reveal Animals' Hidden Worlds

Andrius Burba, a Lithuania-based photographer, has been on a mission to capture the "other side" of animals through his innovative "Underlook" project. Over the past decade, Burba has traveled to various animal shows and zoos to photograph creatures of all shapes, sizes, and coats from below a glass panel.

Burba believes that this unusual vantage point can encourage viewers to appreciate often overlooked aspects of the animal kingdom and "rediscover wonder" in their own lives. By showcasing the unique perspectives of animals, such as the white belly fur of a tiger, Burba aims to spark curiosity and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Looking to the future, Burba has acquired three plots of land near Lithuania's capital city to build photography studios for further creative experimentation. His next goal is to expand the "Underlook" project to include cows, elephants, and tigers, allowing him to capture even more captivating underside shots of these majestic creatures.
