- Collins is open to creating new music and finishing existing projects.

Phil Collins has shared an update on his health, revealing he is in good condition after a critical period in 2024. He has been sober for three years and is diligently attending physiotherapy sessions three times a week. This has significantly improved his physical well-being, which he describes as "A1, 100%."
His recovery follows a severe relapse into alcohol addiction in 2024. Collins admitted to drinking in what he considered moderation, but his body could not cope, leading to kidney and liver failure. This resulted in hospitalization and a period on life support, with his family being called to his bedside. He also underwent five knee operations and deals with drop foot, necessitating the use of crutches.
Despite past health challenges that led to his retirement from live performance after Genesis's The Last Domino? tour concluded in March 2022, Collins is not ruling out a return to music-making. He retains a home studio and is considering finishing existing material and potentially starting new projects. His debut solo album, Face Value, is set for a 45th-anniversary reissue on September 8.
