Four awards were presented early at the Producers Guild Awards event held at The Aster in Hollywood. These included the Children's and Sports awards, originally slated for a New York announcement that was canceled due to weather. The PGA Innovation Award was given to the producing team behind "The Wizard of Oz at Sphere" for their work in VR, AR, and emerging media.
Lydia Dean Pilcher was honored with the Vance Van Petten Entrepreneurial Spirit Producing Award for her extensive work promoting sustainability within the film and television industries. Additionally, NYU graduate Jessica Li received the Debra Hill Fellowship, which supports emerging producers. The main Producers Guild Awards ceremony is set to announce the majority of its awards on Saturday.
