An enchanting public art trail, "Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne," has captivated Newcastle and North Tyneside with 96 vibrant sculptures. This interactive event, the fourth of its kind by St Oswald's Hospice since 2016, is designed to raise essential funds for the beloved charity. The trail, inspired by Beatrix Potter's famous character, will be on display until September 14.
Visitors can enjoy the trail for free, but are encouraged to support the hospice by purchasing a dedicated app and sticker book. Proceeds from these items directly contribute to the hospice's running costs. Of the 96 sculptures, 43 were designed by artists, and most of these will be auctioned in October to generate additional revenue for St Oswald's Hospice. The remaining 53 smaller sculptures were created by local schools and youth groups, and will be returned to them after the event concludes.
