Heated Rivalry Composer: Surprised by Global Hit

Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Peter Peter has voiced his astonishment at the widespread success of the Crave original series "Heated Rivalry." He described his experience working on the show as an honor that "went so fast." The series, created by Jacob Tierney, quickly gained millions of viewers for its depiction of a relationship between closeted gay hockey players. The show's original score, composed by Peter, has also garnered significant attention. This project represented Peter Peter's first venture into scoring a series, culminating in a 34-track album. The score's release, initially planned for early 2026, was expedited to late 2025 due to overwhelming fan reactions immediately following the show's debut. The production team was pleasantly surprised by the music's impact. Peter noted that he improvised much of the score by playing along to the footage, aiming to capture the characters' emotions and connection. He found inspiration in the raw footage, which led him to revise his initial musical concepts. He has indicated that while discussions for Season 2's music are happening, details are confidential. The score was made available to stream rapidly in late 2025, with CD and vinyl releases planned for later in 2026.
