Pete Davidson Welcomes Baby, Honors Dad Scott with Name

Pete Davidson and his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt, recently celebrated the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. This significant life event marks a new chapter for the comedian, whose chosen name deeply honors his family history. The name Scottie is a direct tribute to Davidson's father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who tragically died while responding to the September 11 attacks in 2001. Davidson, who was seven at the time of his father's death, has often spoken about the profound impact of this loss.

The couple revealed the news on social media, sharing photos while keeping their daughter's face obscured. Hewitt expressed her overwhelming joy, calling the baby her "best work yet." Davidson, known for his unique sense of humor, added "Wu Tang forever" to the announcement. This naming choice reflects a desire for traditional, grounded names, as Davidson previously mentioned avoiding "weird Hollywood" baby names in favor of "Staten Island normal" options.

Davidson's career has frequently intertwined his personal history with his comedy, particularly themes of grief and mental health. The arrival of Scottie Rose signifies a continuation of this legacy, as the next generation is now linked to the father he lost. Hewitt, a London-born model, and Davidson, a former Saturday Night Live star, have maintained a relatively private relationship despite Davidson's public profile.
