HBO is giving horror fans an early treat this Halloween season. The network has announced that Episode 2 of its highly anticipated series It: Welcome to Derry will be made available on HBO Max on Friday, October 31, 2025, three days ahead of its scheduled Sunday, November 2 premiere on the main HBO channel.
This one-time exception is being made to celebrate the spooky holiday. The rest of the eight-episode season will continue to air on Sundays, leading up to the finale on December 14, 2025.
Set in the world of Stephen King's "It" universe, It: Welcome to Derry was developed for television by filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, along with Jason Fuchs. Muschietti is directing multiple episodes, and the cast includes a mix of new and familiar faces, including Bill Skarsgård reprising his chilling role as the demonic clown Pennywise.
