Cruz: Madrid Offers Privacy for Family Life

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have chosen Madrid as their home base to prioritize privacy for their children, Leo, 15, and Luna, 12. Cruz explained in a recent interview that living in the Spanish capital allows for a more normal family life.

She highlighted the significant presence of family and long-time friends as a key factor. Cruz believes it is crucial to shield children from public scrutiny during their formative years, granting them the freedom to later choose their own careers without undue exposure.

Beyond privacy, Cruz also reflected on her enduring curiosity within her 16-year marriage to Bardem. She noted that even after knowing him for 33 years, she continues to learn about him, likening it to the continuous process of self-discovery.

The couple also strategically selects collaboration projects, preferring to work together only occasionally. This approach is partly to safeguard their relationship and personal lives, rather than solely for logistical convenience.
