Four years after the series finale, Birmingham's infamous Shelby crime family is set to make a grand return in "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man." This film sequel continues the gripping narrative of the acclaimed crime drama, with Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as Tommy Shelby. The movie is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on March 6, followed by its premiere on Netflix on March 20.
Murphy expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the character, stating, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me... It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of 'Peaky Blinders.' This is one for the fans." Alongside Murphy, Sophie Rundle will also reprise her role as Ada Thorne, with Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy returning as allies Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong.
The film is helmed by Tom Harper, who previously directed several episodes of the original series. Created by British screenwriter Steven Knight, "Peaky Blinders" originally premiered in 2013 and concluded its six-season run in 2022. The cast also features new additions such as Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan, adding fresh talent to the established universe.
