Peacock Pulls Plug on 1970s Spy Series 'Ponies'

The 1970s spy thriller "Ponies," starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, will not return for a second season. Peacock made the decision to cancel the series approximately five months after its debut on January 15, 2026. The narrative of "Ponies" was set in Moscow during 1977. It explored the clandestine activities of Bea (Clarke) and Twila (Richardson), who initially appeared as secretaries at the American Embassy but were revealed to be CIA operatives. The series was a collaborative effort, co-created and executive produced by David Iserson and Susanna Fogel. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produced the show.
