- Rohatgi attributes career slump to inability to handle success and bad habits.

Payal Rohatgi, who began her acting career in 2002, is looking back at the highs and lows of her time in Bollywood. She starred in films such as 'Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai,' 'Plan,' and 'Rakht,' but gained prominence with lead roles in 'Tauba Tauba,' 'Chetna: The Excitement,' and 'Fun - Can Be Dangerous Sometimes.' Rohatgi recalled 'Tauba Tauba' being a significant hit, with shows selling out.
Reflecting on her peak, Rohatgi stated, "Mere naam se picturein release ho rahi thi theatre ke andar," making her feel like a major star. However, as an outsider without industry connections, she lacked understanding of strategic placement and PR. This led to issues with film grading, despite working with directors like Partho Ghosh.
Rohatgi candidly admitted that she was unable to manage the sudden success, stating, "Had I handled it well, ab bhi gaadi chal rahi hoti." She also cited becoming "boisterous and arrogant" during her successful phase, a common pitfall for newcomers. This, coupled with developing bad habits and facing controversies, eventually led her to participate in reality television shows.
