Pawan Kalyan film ditches item song for dignity
10 Mar
Summary
- Director confirms no item song in Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
- Decision respects Pawan Kalyan's Deputy CM role.
- Film releases March 19, clashing with another movie.

Director Harish Shankar has announced that the upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, will deviate from convention by omitting an item song. Shankar explained that this decision is influenced by Pawan Kalyan's current political responsibilities.
He clarified that while the film will contain lively songs, a traditional item number will not be present to maintain the decorum befitting a Deputy Chief Minister. This marks a change from their previous collaboration, Gabbar Singh.
The movie, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is now slated for release on March 19, a week ahead of its previously scheduled March 26 date. This new release date sets up a box office clash with Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Music composer Thaman has been brought on board to compose the film's background score, replacing Devi Sri Prasad due to scheduling conflicts. Ustaad Bhagat Singh features Pawan Kalyan alongside Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna.
