Pavan Malhotra on National Awards: Aaryan Deserves Win, Hooda Snubbed

Despite his praise for Aaryan, Malhotra conveyed his disappointment that Randeep Hooda was overlooked for acting accolades for his portrayal in 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,' though Hooda did receive the Best Debut Director award. Malhotra urged audiences to watch 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' with an open mind.

Reflecting on Yami Gautam's career, Malhotra recalled his surprise at her earlier struggles to find consistent work, despite her evident talent and appeal. He commended her journey of one step at a time to reach her current position.

Malhotra also praised filmmaker Aditya Dhar's distinct storytelling and conviction across films like 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' and 'Article 370,' highlighting Dhar's ability to cast actors perfectly, such as Rakesh Bedi. The actor also shared his own experiences of winning National Awards, describing both victories as unexpected but highly gratifying.
