Paul Weller, a seminal figure in British music, has been revealed as the final headliner for this summer's concert series at Ludlow Castle. The former frontman of The Jam and The Style Council is scheduled to perform on July 17. His inclusion completes a diverse and acclaimed lineup for the event.
The concert series, now in its fourth year, will also feature performances from Rick Astley, Human League, Tom Grennan, The Streets, Richard Ashcroft, Scissor Sisters, and Snow Patrol. Organizers expressed their commitment to expanding the event's scale and success in subsequent years, building upon the established relationship with Ludlow Castle.
Gemma England, general manager of Ludlow Castle, lauded Weller as a "legend" and expressed excitement for the upcoming shows. The addition of Weller, a celebrated solo artist with 17 albums, underscores the prestige of the concert series. He will be joined on his performance date by special guests Miles Kane, Alex Turner, and Fiona-Lee.
