Mike McGear, younger brother of Sir Paul McCartney, enjoyed his own brush with fame, achieving significant success in music and photography. Growing up in Liverpool alongside Paul, Mike joined the musical group The Scaffold. The Scaffold achieved notable success with their hit single 'Thank U Very Much' and their 1968 Christmas number one, 'Lily The Pink'.
During his career with The Scaffold, Mike McGear released multiple top-ten singles and albums. The band officially disbanded in 1977, though they have had occasional reunions. Mike McGear also used his stage surname to establish his own identity, only reverting to his family name upon retiring from music in the 1980s.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Mike McGear developed a passionate career as a photographer. He captured numerous iconic images of The Beatles during their heyday, documenting them backstage and on tour.
