Glass Desk Disaster: Paul Johansson's Painful Memory

Actor Paul Johansson, who portrayed Dan Scott in the television series One Tree Hill, has shared a particularly embarrassing on-set incident. During filming, Johansson had gained some weight and was reportedly imbibing in the evenings, which he described as contributing to a 'puffy' appearance. While rehearsing a scene in his character's office, which featured a glass desk, the actor leaned on it, causing it to explode. A shard of glass lodged several inches into his gluteal region. Despite his initial attempts to conceal the severity of the injury by claiming he was fine, a trail of blood leading to his dressing room indicated otherwise. After removing the glass himself, he required stitches for the deep wound, an experience he found deeply humiliating. The popular CW series One Tree Hill aired for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012, featuring a cast that included Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush.
