Pattinson and Lawrence Reveal Trump's Infamous Twilight Breakup Tweets

In a recent interview, actress Jennifer Lawrence disclosed that she grilled her co-star Robert Pattinson about Donald Trump's 2012 tweets regarding Pattinson's breakup with Kristen Stewart. At the time, photos had surfaced of Stewart being intimate with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, while she was still dating Pattinson.

Trump had taken to Twitter (now X) to weigh in on the scandal, urging Pattinson to "dump" Stewart, claiming she "cheated on him like a dog" and would "do it again." Lawrence admitted she was curious to hear Pattinson's perspective on the former president's unsolicited commentary on their personal lives.

Pattinson and Stewart had begun dating in 2009 after co-starring in the first Twilight movie. Though they remained together for a time after the cheating scandal, the couple ultimately parted ways in 2013. Pattinson is now engaged to model Suki Waterhouse, while Stewart recently married her longtime partner Dylan Meyer.

Last year, Stewart herself spoke out about Trump's tweets, finding it odd that someone in his position would weigh in so heavily on the personal lives of young celebrities. As she noted, "It's like, 'What is this 20-year-old who has no idea about life doing to this man?'"
