Pat Sharp, known for hosting the popular 1990s children's show Fun House, has reflected on the decade as a "nice memory." He described the '90s as "very colourful" due to his work on the hit ITV program, which was a massive children's show of its time. Sharp recalled the show's leery and bright clothes, messy games, and overall fun atmosphere, comparing it to the vibrant nature of Legoland.
He has partnered with Legoland Windsor to launch a new addition to its Miniland attraction. The new scene, titled "1996 High Street," is a nostalgic nod to British culture from that era. It meticulously recreates miniature pop bands, shop signage, and football scenes, a testament to the 171 hours it took to construct.
This model is part of Legoland Windsor's 30th-anniversary celebrations and will be on display until the end of the year. Sharp expressed his excitement about being an honorary model maker for the "1996 High Street" scene, calling it "pure '90s magic." He anticipates families will enjoy reliving the "wow" moment from the year the attraction originally opened.
