A group of recent Westerville South High School graduates are bringing back their "Party in My Yard" music festival for its second year. The free, public event is scheduled for July 18 at 121 S. State St. in Westerville, hosted at one of the band member's homes.
Party in My Bed, an alternative-rock band formed by these graduates, will headline the festival. The event showcases a total of nine local acts, including solo performances from lead vocalist Parker Jayne and backing vocalist/guitarist Moira Hogan. Other featured performers include indie bands, an Americana artist, a hip-hop rapper, and other solo artists.
Last year's festival, held in a church due to venue challenges, drew approximately 70 attendees. The band aims for continued growth, emphasizing a drug and alcohol-free environment. The festival provides a platform for local musicians to perform and connect within their community, with plans for future releases from Party in My Bed.
