While the makers did approach him for a role, he felt that the part was not suitable for him, stating, "Maza nahin aaya (on reading about my part)."
Despite declining the role, Rawal had high praise for the script of Drishyam 3, calling it "very good." He explained, "But even in a compelling script, you need a role that you feel excited about. Warna maza nahin aayega."
The Drishyam franchise, which follows the story of a man trying to protect his family after a tragic incident, has developed a strong cult following over the years.
