'Parent Trap' Star Elaine Hendrix Dances Through Injury on 'DWTS'

In the latest season of 'Dancing With the Stars', actress Elaine Hendrix has been facing a significant challenge. The 54-year-old, best known for her role in the 1998 film 'The Parent Trap', suffered a rib injury that sidelined her during the Oct. 28 episode of the show.

Hendrix was forced to miss the live performance, and the series aired her final dress rehearsal with partner Alan Bersten instead. However, the determined actress was not willing to give up. In the Nov. 4 episode, Hendrix shared an update from her doctors, who were unsure whether she had torn a muscle or simply strained it.

Despite the uncertainty, Hendrix was determined to return to the dance floor. "I'm so grateful that we get to keep going," she said. "I'm expecting to feel pain. I don't care."

True to her word, Hendrix powered through the pain and delivered a Viennese waltz performance that earned rave reviews from the judges. The routine, set to Dionne Warwick's "What the World Needs Now," was praised for its emotional depth and technical execution, earning a cumulative score of 37 out of 40.

"I have received so much love and support right now," Hendrix told host Julianne Hough after her performance. "I am beyond grateful and thank you all so much." She concluded by saying, "I am feeling very solid and strong and grateful."
