A parakeet captured peeking from a hole in a tree has claimed the top prize in a photographic competition for London cyclists. The event, organized by the Natural History Museum and Santander Cycles, urged participants to discover the capital's natural beauty through sustainable cycling. This winning image, taken by Celeste Katz, will be showcased at South Kensington Tube station.
Other highly commended photographs highlighted urban wildlife, including a fox and a mouse. The competition aimed to promote exploration of London's less-familiar green spaces via themed 'Side Quest' cycling routes. These routes, launched last summer by Santander Cycles and TfL, offer diverse, randomly generated cycling experiences across the city.
