Summary
- Mother faces dilemma between AI resurrected son and returned son.
- Film world premieres at TIFF on September 13.
- Acquisition by Well Go USA ahead of North American release.

Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest offering, "Paradise Lost," will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13. The psychological thriller centers on a mother whose son disappeared along with a bus of children years prior. The son eventually returns, but profoundly changed.
Adding to the complexity, the mother has been interacting with an AI-generated version of her son in a virtual realm. This presents a deep emotional and psychological conflict as she navigates between the AI-resurrected son and the one who physically reappeared after being presumed lost.
Well Go USA Entertainment has secured the North American distribution rights for the film. This acquisition continues their established partnership with Yeon Sang-ho, following previous collaborations on "Train to Busan" and "Colony." The film is expected to receive a U.S. release after its TIFF debut.
