Pankaj Tripathi Nervous for IIFA Hosting Debut

Pankaj Tripathi is embarking on a new professional journey as he prepares to host the IIFA Digital Awards 2027. Scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi next year, the ceremony will see Tripathi co-hosting with his popular "Mirzapur" co-stars, Ali Fazal and Abhishek Banerjee. This marks Tripathi's first experience in a hosting capacity, a role that has understandably made him apprehensive.

During a recent press conference held in Mumbai, the trio discussed their upcoming hosting responsibilities. While Ali Fazal provided insights into the box-office success of "Mirzapur The Movie," which exceeded Rs. 200 crores domestically, Pankaj Tripathi candidly shared his anxieties about stepping into the spotlight as a host. He humorously noted his soft-spoken nature and concern about being heard over louder presenters.

The IIFA Digital Awards 2027 are set for January 22, 2027, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. This event is part of the larger 26th IIFA Awards celebration, with the main awards ceremony following on January 23. While Tripathi, Fazal, and Banerjee will lead the digital awards, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Panday, and Maniesh Paul are slated to host the main ceremony.
