Palash Sen: Rock's Unapologetic Rebel

Palash Sen, the acclaimed frontman of Indian pop rock band Euphoria, has recently articulated his identity as a "rock singer – independent, unapologetic & perhaps misunderstood." He asserts that his artistic path has consistently favored authenticity over external validation, a principle deeply rooted in his understanding of rock music.

Sen describes rock as a powerful "rebellion against the machine," embodying aggression, honesty, and a profound connection to one's inner self, which he equates with the band's name, Euphoria. He expressed that his commitment to genuine expression means he "sing[s] from my heart & all I believe in," eschewing any pretense or adoption of a "filmy" persona.

The band Euphoria originated during Sen's college years, with early compositions written in English, including his first, 'Heaven on the Seventh Floor.' Their breakthrough came with the commercially triumphant and critically lauded debut, 'Dhoom Pichuck Dhoom.'

Euphoria has since become a notable Indian band, boasting five hit studio albums, a compilation, and seventeen music videos. Sen also made his Bollywood debut with Meghna Gulzar's film 'Filhaal...,' for which he composed an extensive soundtrack.
