His lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, described the complaint as a 'pressure tactic' and a 'publicity stunt,' further questioning why no complaint was filed for six months if the allegations were valid. The timing of the complaint has been specifically challenged, particularly in light of previous discussions limited to alleged financial disputes.
Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana had previously announced their wedding for November 23, 2025, but later called it off on December 7, 2025. The current legal situation adds another layer of complexity to Muchhal's public life.
