Pagglait 2: Sanya Malhotra Returns to Netflix

A familiar story is getting a fresh chapter as Netflix's 2021 film, Pagglait, is officially developing a sequel. Sanya Malhotra is confirmed to reprise her role in Pagglait 2, with Umesh Bist returning to direct the dark dramedy. While plot details remain under wraps, the sequel is anticipated to retain the blend of humor and emotional depth that characterized the first installment.

Pagglait 2 has been greenlit as part of Netflix India's expanding slate of sequel projects. Production is expected to begin between August and September 2026. The platform is also developing other follow-up stories, including Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga 2. The original Pagglait, released in 2021, followed a young widow's journey through grief and self-discovery.
