Sharon Osbourne shared that her late husband, who hailed from the Aston area of the city, was immensely proud of his Brummie identity and never forgot his origins. She noted his declaration that northern people are the most loyal.

Accepting the award, Sharon spoke emotionally about Ozzy's rise from a small working-class neighborhood to international recognition, stressing that his heart always remained in England.

Fans demonstrated their deep affection for the Black Sabbath frontman by flocking to Birmingham after his passing last July. They created a moving tribute at Black Sabbath bridge and lined the streets for his final journey.

His daughter, Kelly, conveyed the family's immense gratitude to the people of Birmingham for their consistent and overwhelming support. Both Kelly and Sharon described the tribute as an honor for Ozzy, highlighting the special gathering of his friends and bandmates.
