Overwatch's Season 5: New Vampire Hero & Reworks!

Overwatch is preparing for Season 5 next month with substantial hero updates, continuing its 10th-anniversary celebrations. A new support hero, Doctrine, joins the roster. This vampiric character features abilities that empower allies and weaken foes, including a powerful ultimate called Deliverance.

Joining Doctrine are reworks for two existing heroes. Sombra, previously a damage hero, is moving to the support role with significant ability changes focused on healing and team utility. Roadhog remains a tank but has undergone a rework that alters his iconic hook combo and introduces a new damage-mitigating ability.

These changes are designed to introduce new strategic options and alleviate player frustrations with existing hero kits. The developers aim to enhance team-focused gameplay with these significant additions and modifications arriving with the start of Season 5.
