A recent midseason patch for Overwatch has introduced significant changes, notably a substantial nerf to the hero Mizuki's ultimate ability, Kekkai Sanctuary. This powerful defensive tool, which previously blocked incoming damage, now negates all damage from both inside and outside its radius.
This alteration fundamentally shifts its strategic use. Previously, enemies had to breach the sanctuary to avoid being defenseless. Now, they can remain outside, safe from attacks originating within the ultimate. This forces opposing teams to make more complex tactical decisions in the heat of battle.
The patch also reduced Mizuki's ultimate healing and duration. Furthermore, other heroes like Emre have seen adjustments to their grenade radius and healing, while Sierra's primary weapon was also impacted by a nerf.
On a positive note, the time required to level up heroes has been decreased, addressing a common player complaint about the slow reward progression.
