In Outlander Season 8, Jamie and Claire Fraser will find their new home in a settlement called 'Christieville,' a bustling community designed for acquiring provisions. Production designer Mike Gunn revealed that the sets were heavily influenced by spaghetti Westerns, including 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,' to evoke a sense of the Wild West.
This new location serves as a response to the destruction of their previous home at Fraser's Ridge. Gunn aimed to create a space where Jamie could defend their new dwelling, situated on a hilltop with an extended balcony for strategic viewing. The construction of the house took five months.
