Originally, "Your Love" peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1986 and remains the band's most recognized song. The Outfield also saw other successes, with "Since You've Been Gone" hitting No. 11 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 1987. Tracks like "The Title Track" and "My Paradise" from their 1989 album "Voices of Babylon" also charted.
Formed in London in 1984, The Outfield consisted of John Spinks, Tony Lewis, and Alan Jackman. The band released seven studio albums before disbanding in 2014, following the death of guitarist John Spinks. Vocalist Tony Lewis passed away in 2020.
