The Governors Ball, the exclusive after-party for the Academy Awards, is preparing for its traditional celebration this Sunday, March 9th, 2025. Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck returns for his 32nd year, orchestrating a menu designed for Hollywood's elite. The extensive culinary offerings will include an estimated 25,000 small plates, featuring delicacies such as caviar, black truffle, sushi, and tomahawk steak.
Thousands of bottles of Piper-Heidsieck champagne, Dassai sake, and Domaine Clarence Dillon wines will be available, alongside custom Don Julio tequila cocktails crafted by Lorenzo Antinori. Puck anticipates serving 1,200 chicken pot pies, 70 pounds of caviar, and over 200 pounds of tomahawk steak. A new sushi station will offer handrolls prepared by five chefs.
A unique takeaway for attendees will be golden chocolate statuettes, providing a sweet memento of the star-studded event. This tradition allows guests to depart with a symbolic Oscar, a keepsake that chef Garry Larduinat notes is especially cherished as a unique piece of the Oscars experience.
