The 98th Academy Awards on Sunday was a star-studded affair, marked by significant cast reunions from beloved films. The night kicked off with a nod to "The Devil Wears Prada," featuring Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, with Vogue editor Anna Wintour playfully channeling Meryl Streep's character, Miranda Priestly. Wintour even referred to Hathaway as "Emily," a callback to the film.
"The Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans reunited, humorously referencing the 14th anniversary of their first film and the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday." Their presentation included a lighthearted exchange involving a replica of the sparkly underwear from Channing Tatum's "Magic Mike."
Billy Crystal led a poignant tribute to the late director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Reiner, who were tragically killed in December 2025. The ceremony also celebrated the 25th anniversary of "Moulin Rouge!" with a reunion of stars Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.
The cast of the 2011 comedy "Bridesmaids" also reunited to present awards, celebrating their film's 15th anniversary. While most of the main cast was present, Wendi McLendon-Covey was absent due to a recent neck lift procedure, which she shared on social media.
