During the inaugural ceremony, Tamil Nadu chief whip K Ramachandran stated that the main objective of the festival is to cultivate a reading habit among the younger generation and school students. He emphasized the importance of students taking advantage of this opportunity to enhance their knowledge.
District collector Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru urged students and their parents to utilize the coupons appropriately, emphasizing that students should recognize the world beyond the virtual realm of social media.
The festival also includes cultural programs presented by students from schools and colleges, as well as artists from several regions. Each day will feature speeches from prominent speakers, poets, and writers in the literary field. Additionally, government departments are showcasing their work to create awareness on available public benefits.
