- The multimedia project 'Oni Hunter X' is slated for a 2026 release.

A new strategic partnership has been formed between enGEN3, a participatory storytelling platform, and Oni Force, a Web3 anime brand. This collaboration will see the development of "Oni Hunter X" as one of the first story worlds leveraging enGEN3's infrastructure for licensed fan co-creation, distribution, and revenue sharing. enGEN3 is also joining the GK Labs ecosystem with a seed investment.
The "Oni Hunter X" series, originally created by IMCMPLX and featuring the Oni Force anti-hero Joji, is being brought to life by Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins. The project was previewed in 2023 and is planned for a full release in 2026 as part of a broader multimedia initiative.
Paul Jenkins emphasized the synergy between creators and AI, stating that enGEN3 provides an ethically sourced AI tool that supports creatives. Jordan Bayne, CEO of enGEN3, highlighted the potential of "Oni Hunter X" as a demonstration of fan participation, aiming to monetize the significant economic value generated by fan-driven creation.
Henry Finn, CEO of Oni Force, noted that "Oni Hunter X" will utilize enGEN3's infrastructure to scale with its audience, allowing fans to contribute and share in the value they help create. Independent entertainment group Goldfinch and production company The Squad will also support the development and production of the project.
enGEN3, jointly owned by The Squad and Goldfinch, combines storytelling tools with licensed fan participation. The platform has expanded its advisory board with industry professionals and is preparing for its Creator Partner Programme launch in February, followed by a wider platform rollout in March.
