Om Shanti Om helped me buy my first home!

Actor Shreyas Talpade recently shared a significant career milestone, revealing how the 2007 film Om Shanti Om was key to him buying his first home in Mumbai. Speaking in Farah Khan's cooking vlog, Talpade recounted how the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer unexpectedly aided him in securing a home loan.

Talpade explained that a bank manager initially required a letter from SRK before approving his loan application. Farah Khan, the film's director, was instrumental in obtaining this letter from the superstar within two days.

Farah Khan expressed surprise at the film's profound impact on Talpade's life, admitting she was unaware of its role in his homeownership journey. She humorously noted that despite the film's success, it hadn't directly paid him much.

In other news, Shreyas Talpade is currently featured in the film Welcome to the Jungle. He is also set to appear in The India Story, a film scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026, which aims to raise awareness about the health impacts of pesticide farming.
