Summary
- Jeff Bridges would gag to appear emotional during scenes.
- Olivia Wilde nearly drowned during a scene in Turistas.
- A cameraman dropped his equipment to save Wilde.
Olivia Wilde recently detailed unconventional acting techniques used by her "Tron: Legacy" co-star Jeff Bridges. During an interview, Wilde explained that Bridges would physically gag to prepare for emotional scenes, a practice she found amusing on set. This particular anecdote comes from a segment where actors guess if their co-stars' stories are true or false.
Wilde also recounted a near-fatal incident from the 2006 film "Turistas." While filming a drowning scene, her character's simulated distress became a genuine emergency. The intensity of her distress led the cameraman to drop his equipment and rescue her, as he believed she was actually drowning. This harrowing event was captured and included in the final film.
