In the past two days, Pawan Kalyan's latest action film 'OG' has been making waves at the box office, crossing the ₹100 crore mark. However, the film has also drawn comparisons to the recent Tamil release 'Good Bad Ugly', directed by Adhik Ravichandran and starring Ajith Kumar.
Director Sujeeth of 'OG' has now addressed these comparisons. He explains that the 'OG' teaser was released before the script of 'Good Bad Ugly' was even written. Sujeeth says he has known Adhik for a long time and they often discuss their films. He adds that when the 'OG' teaser came out, 'Good Bad Ugly' had only released its first look, and there was never any intention to affect each other's films.
Sujeeth further states that he is happy for Adhik's work and truly appreciates his film 'Mark Antony'. He mentions that actor Arjun Das appears in both 'OG' and 'Good Bad Ugly', but was cast in the latter project only after Sujeeth had finished shooting with him.
Despite the comparisons, 'OG' continues to enjoy a strong box office run. The film collected ₹19.25 crore on its second day, bringing the two-day India net to ₹84.75 crore. The worldwide collections for 'OG' now stand at over ₹104 crore.
