Prime Video is addressing negative fan behavior targeting the cast of its popular show 'Off Campus.' The streaming service issued a statement via its official X account, formerly Twitter, urging the community to extend respect to the actors and their loved ones. Accounts found to be engaging in targeted harassment will face removal from the show's official following.
The first season of 'Off Campus,' based on Elle Kennedy's book series, premiered on May 13 and quickly gained a substantial audience, attracting 36 million viewers globally within its initial 12 days. Prime Video had already greenlit a second season before the debut of the first.
Season 2 will shift focus to the romance between Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes. Production for the second season commenced earlier this month. This follows similar social media warnings issued for another Prime Video hit, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' which also saw production begin in April.
