A notable age difference between 'Off Campus' actors Ella Bright, aged 19, and Belmont Cameli, aged 28, has sparked fan discussions online. Bright, when asked about the 10-year gap, shared that she and Cameli have become close friends through their work, downplaying the age difference.
The series' showrunner addressed concerns, particularly regarding Bright's age during the filming of intimate scenes. She confirmed having a conversation with Bright before finalizing her contract to ensure her comfort and understanding of the content. The showrunner stressed that no scenes were filmed without the actors' full consent and comfort, with an intimacy coordinator facilitating these discussions for all involved.
Additionally, the showrunner explained adjustments to character ages to better align with the show's narrative structure. By extending the timeline of seasons to represent semesters, the writers aimed to create a cohesive cast dynamic and ensure characters, like Tucker, remain at the fictional Briar school throughout the series' progression.
