The film chronicles the journey of two loners who meet while undertaking an epic pilgrimage to prove the earth is flat. Described as an "unlikely adventure in truth and love," the movie is written and directed by Berkeley and White. Production is scheduled to commence in Canada in November.
Studiocanal is fully financing "The End of the World as We Know It," with Film4 co-financing and executive producing. Studiocanal will also handle theatrical distribution in various territories, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Benelux, Australia, and New Zealand, in addition to worldwide sales.
Berkeley and White expressed excitement about their leads and the project's theme, noting it speaks to a "collective search for meaning, belonging and love." O'Connell's recent projects include upcoming titles like John Krasinski's "A Quiet Place Part III" and Grant Sputore's "Godzilla x Kong: Supernova." A'zion will next be seen in Cody Fern's directorial debut "Mother Courage" and Justine Triet's comedy "Fonda."
