An extraordinary archive of unheard Oasis recordings, known as The Desk Tapes, is set to go under the hammer on October 3rd in Evesham, Worcestershire. This extensive collection features audio from 63 live concerts and more than 100 hours of rehearsal sessions captured during the band's peak in the 1990s.
These master tapes, sourced directly from the sound desk, represent the only archive of its kind and have been in private possession for 20 years. The archive was compiled by the son of a former front-of-house sound engineer who worked with the band during their rise to fame.
Alongside the vast audio collection, auction items include original setlists, detailed tour itineraries, and a coveted Oasis tour parka. A pair of Adidas Kegler Super Ostrich trainers, gifted to Noel Gallagher, are also part of the sale.
This significant collection is being offered by Littleton Auctions, with bidding available both online and in person. The auction house has described it as one of the most exciting collections they have brought to market, offering a unique opportunity for fans to own a piece of rock history.
