Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR Sr.), a celebrated actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, continues to hold a revered place in the hearts of Telugu audiences. Recently, scenes in the film 'Korean Kanagaraju' featuring comedian Satya imitating NTR Sr. have caused significant backlash from fans, who perceive the portrayal as disrespectful.

The Telugu Film Producers Council has acknowledged the distress among NTR's admirers, with secretary T. Prasanna Kumar calling the imitation "unpardonable." The controversy intensified over a specific dialogue, "Your strokes are amateurish," which many felt crossed the line from comedy into outright mockery of the iconic actor.

Actor Varun Tej has stepped in to defend the film's controversial portions. He clarified that the scenes were filmed in November of the previous year and emphasized that imitation, when done for comedy, is a form of tribute to great actors, not an act of disrespect. He drew a parallel to his own imitation of Pawan Kalyan in 'F3,' suggesting the intent was purely humorous.

Despite the filmmakers' assertions that the NTR-related scenes were intended solely for entertainment, the controversy underscores the delicate balance filmmakers must maintain when referencing beloved personalities.
