Norwegian Actors Honored on Haugesund Walk of Fame

The Haugesund Walk of Fame welcomed two new honorees, Norwegian actors Anders Danielsen Lie and Anne Marie Ottersen. The induction ceremony took place during the first weekend of the Norwegian Intl. Film Festival Haugesund. This recognition celebrates their vital roles in building the professionalism and high standards of Norway's acting community, impacting theatre, film, and television.

Anders Danielsen Lie reflected on his debut in Haugesund over 30 years ago, noting the full-circle nature of this honor. He credited Joachim Trier's films, particularly 'Reprise,' for reigniting his acting career after a period pursuing medicine. His international career, boosted by hits like 'The Worst Person in the World,' continues to surprise him, adding complexity to his performances.

Anne Marie Ottersen expressed her surprise and happiness at the induction. Having joined the National Theatre in 1970, she sees the Walk of Fame as a lasting recognition, unlike the ephemeral nature of theatre performances. Her career includes an Amanda Award for 'Wives - Ten Years Later' and an upcoming film, 'The Pension Heist.' Ottersen cherishes the diversity of her roles and the joy of still working in her chosen profession.
