North West has released a new electropop tribute song interpolating Tears for Fears' "Memories Fade." The track pays homage to her late grandmother, Donda West, who passed away in November 2007. The song features a hard-hitting beat with punchier drums than the original, utilizing the same melody and incorporating Ye's haunting vocals faintly in the background.
Earlier this year, North previewed a collaboration with her father, rapping about her mainstream success and desire for piercings and blue hair. She later joined Kanye in Mexico City for his performance of "Only One" and her own track, "Piercing on My Hand." In 2025, the 12-year-old collaborated with FKA Twigs on "Childlike Things" and contributed to King Combs' "Lonely Roads." North signed a record deal with Larry Jackson's Gamma in February, with more music planned, and Kanye also signed with the company earlier in 2026.
