Noah Wyle, recently honored as People's 'Sexiest Man Alive,' recounted a childhood meeting with SNL star Eddie Murphy on "Good Hang with Amy Poehler." As a nine-year-old fan, Wyle approached Murphy for an autograph but was met with a dismissive "f--- off" and a reprimand for being up late.
This early rejection has shaped Wyle's interactions with fans, as he now makes a point to sign autographs for any child who asks. He shared that his daughter, understanding the impact of this encounter, created a framed, "healed" version of an Eddie Murphy autograph for his birthday last year.
Wyle also expressed his desire to host Saturday Night Live, mentioning he has spoken with Lorne Michaels about the possibility. He detailed his lifelong admiration for SNL, particularly the Eddie Murphy era, and his readiness to perform impressions.
