Nishant Singh: From Uri Commando to Drishyam Cop

Nishant Singh, an actor who has appeared in three critically acclaimed films, Drishyam 2, Drishyam The Conclusion, and Uri: The Surgical Strike, shared insights into his career.

In the Drishyam franchise, Singh played Shiv, an undercover police officer posing as a neighbor to Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn). His character, along with his wife Jenny (Neha Joshi), was tasked with uncovering evidence against the Salgaonkars. Their presence in the films, and particularly the nickname 'Changu Mangu,' brought significant laughter and memorability.

Singh also starred as SF Commando Rahil Hussain in the 2019 action film Uri: The Surgical Strike, a role that was part of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill's unit. He lauded the film's director, Aditya Dhar, praising his directorial debut as seamless and a testament to his extensive experience in filmmaking.

Looking ahead, Singh has several projects in the pipeline. He is slated to appear in the Netflix series 'Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai' and will commence shooting for a film in Sonipat on October 19, 2026. Following this, he is scheduled to work on an Excel Entertainment series in November 2026.
