Nikkhil Advani, known for directing "Kal Ho Naa Ho" and producing acclaimed shows, shared recent insights into audience reception and personal history. He observed that many Gen Z viewers, who were very young when "Chandni Chowk To China" was released in 2009, now appreciate the film. Advani humorously noted that these viewers are requesting a sequel, finding enjoyment in its quirky elements such as Akshay Kumar's fight scene with a giant potato.
Beyond his directorial work, Advani also revealed details about his family's migration. He explained that his great-grandfather moved his family from Sindh to Mumbai in the summer of 1947, just before the Partition. During this journey, his grandfather carried a significant amount of money belonging to Habib Bank, which was relocating its headquarters. He entrusted the cash to his grandfather, who successfully delivered it to the bank's Bombay branch.
